The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25’s Employee-of-the-Month P.I.E.S. award recognizes employees who Positively Influence Educational Success. The award is for employees who go above and beyond in that effort.

We are proud to recognize Renae Johnson as the February PIES Award recipient. Renae embodies the PIES standard through her professionalism, deep expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting the work of the Board and the district.

Those who work closely with Renae describe her as an exceptional colleague whose influence is felt in every aspect of Board operations. Trustee Jim Facer share that “Renae’s ability to work with people is remarkable. She is personable, friendly, and considerate, creating a positive atmosphere for all who work alongside her.” He noted that even in challenging conversations, Renae guides the Board with “professionalism and grace.”

Trustee Megan Furniss highlighted Renae’s role in ensuring effective, organized, and legally compliant board meetings. She wrote, “Renae plays an essential role in preparing for and facilitating successful board meetings. Her thoughtful planning and steady guidance allow the Board to focus on governance.” Megan also praised Renae’s meticulous record-keeping and exceptional recall, noting that her accuracy provides “a reliable record of past discussions and decisions.”

Renae’s commitment to legal and policy compliance is a recurring theme in her nominations. Trustee Heather Clarke highlighted Renae’s organizational skills, attention to detail, and calm professionalism. “She handles last-minute changes with grace and efficiency,” Heather wrote, adding that her knowledge of district procedures and policies is both impressive and indispensable.

Board Chair Deanna Judy also emphasized Renae’s precision and dedication stating, “She has an uncanny ability to be precise and rarely makes mistakes.” Deanna described how Renae supports the Board by clarifying procedures, ensuring open meeting law compliance, and even anticipating needs by providing materials before questions arise. She wrote, “She is what a board clerk should be.”

Across every nomination, one message is clear. Renae is the steady, knowledgeable, and welcoming presence who helps ensure the Board’s work remains accurate, transparent, and focused on the success of learners, staff, and the community. Her ability to balance professionalism with warmth encourages teamwork and strengthens trust throughout the district.

Ms. Johnson was recognized at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 and received a $50 gift card from the educational partner for this award, Lookout Credit Union.
